Barrett Research was born out of Barrett Pty Ltd which has been creating a wide range of training programs and modules, processes, tools, questionnaires, and practical resources for sales and service people and managers since 1995.
In 2007 we began work on a research project focusing on women in sales in Australia which we aim to turn into a research paper and subsequent book called "Sell like a woman" ....
For women to succeed in sales being confident as well as confident is critical to our success.
If you have an idea, capability, product, service or opportunity that you want to take to market you need to be able to sell – confidently .....
Read some of the thoughts, access some of the wisdom of our wonderful Sell Like A Women Survey participants.
Be inspired ....
Over 90% of all sales people follow no logical process when selling.
Don’t let that be you.
The sales management function should be the second most powerful role in a business behind the CEO.
The role has considerable power to make or break a business .....
At Barrett, we know this to be true. Whether we call ourselves a salesperson or not, if we have an idea, product, service, skill, talent, or opportunity that we can offer to another and they can benefit from, then we need to be able to sell.
The creation of selllikeawoman.com.au and the ‘Sell Like A Woman’ project has come about as a result of international research into sales, market trends, changing client expectations and the growing number of female entrepreneurs and professional women working in the sales profession in B2B sales, sales management and leadership roles with great success.
The Sell Like A Woman project is part of Barrett Research, a new division of Barrett which is an incubator for transformational technologies, products, concepts, ideas, online processes, resources, surveys, books, tools and research.
Whether the women who feature in this research entered the sales profession by default or by design, the stories and lessons uncovered give us a real insight into the world of working women in the front line of business and the wisdom they have acquired along the way.
We look forward to sharing these stories with you and look at how we can all contribute to raising the profile of the women, the contributions they make as well as demonstrating that the sales profession done properly is a legitimate business career for all.
Remember everybody lives by selling something.
